If you haven’t noticed already, but “woo-woo” shit is totally in. From visualization, to meditation, to self realization, to manifestation, to energization (ok that isn’t a word), but you get my point. And that goes for any other “-ation” that may exist when it comes to personal, spiritual, passion, and health development. It is totally in! Now if you are reading this I’m assuming that you are totally a “woo-wooer” yourself or at least have dabbled in it or have some interest in it. But I get a little tired of people in this field who aren’t trying to step on others toes by saying “this is not woo-woo!” And just for clarification I totally do not feel that things or topics that are considered “woo-woo” are shit at all, or in feel any derogatory emotions towards it, but for the purpose of proving my point I’ll use that phrase – since I’ve heard it a lot. For those who don’t get that woo-woo is totally in, that’s totally ok. Hopefully you will come around. But its definitely more than a fad. We are now more than ever wanting to feel connected with ourselves, our bodies, our spirits, what makes us come alive, and others, and I’m sorry but in order to really do those things you have to embrace the “woo-woo” stuff. To all my fellow woo-wooers reading this, be proud that you are officially and deep in the woo-woo and it makes a fucking difference! Don’t be ashamed of the fact that you strive towards becoming a happier, healthier, and totally more fulfilled person! To those who don’t get ya I say fuck’em. Not in a mean way, but when and if they are to awaken, then kudos! But until then rock’on with your woo-woo self! It is not a crime! And usually months, if not years later those friends, family, or other loved ones or acquaintances will come around and say “hey you know I think you are on to something!” This has happened to me so many times its crazy.
You have to be un-apologetically ok with taking a “you-land” day where you rest and recuperate to preserve your mental and spiritual energy. You have to be un-apologetically ok with talking about how you got what you wanted because you used the power of meditation and visualization with the least effort coming from physical action. You have to be fine with saying that you don’t really feel like hanging out with a certain person because you don’t like the “vibes” or negative “energy” they put out. The people who don’t get it are on their own journey of discovery and when its time for them to tap into the woo-woo you can be there to help and cheer them on! You and I both know that the “woo-woo” shit is what makes all the difference in your life. Its what helps you stay focused, helps you push forward, helps you get what you want, helps you have awesome communication, and helps you have awesome relationships. The “woo-woo” shit really fucking matters period. And don’t try and dumb it down by saying otherwise. You know the importance of your daily meditation, or your yoga practice, or whatever keeps you connected to your higher power and individual power. And you also know that if you didn’t do those things to keep you connected then you would totally go crazy and feel insane and like a boat with no direction, which by the way is also fine. My goal here is not to devalue another person’s journey or stage in life, but to empower and inspire you to stand up for this stage that you are in!
Think if you wore you “woo-woo” badge with pride and honor, how many more people would be exposed and possibly awakened to their own woo-woo! By dismissing your “woo-woo” and devaluing its importance to others who probably don’t get it – but probably need it most – you are doing a disservice to them. It all goes back to that Marianne Williamson quote “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others.—Marianne Williamson. So please don’t shrink or hide your woo-woo. In fact let your woo-woo light shine so damn bright that it blinds the motherf**kers! I’m just kidding, but you get my point. 😉 Let your woo-woo light shine so that you can unconsciously or consciously give others permission to do the same.
And remember the next time you hear someone say “Oh that’s just some woo-woo shit” or “This isn’t woo-woo!” Pull them aside and say to them “You know… Woo-woo is totally in right?” Because they just didn’t know, and that’s ok too.
So I’m curious, what have your heard from others that was called “woo-woo”? Let me know in the comments below!
